Where to eat in Marfa depends heavily on the day of the week. Everything´s open Thursday through Saturday night. The rest? The locals have it all memorized.

The Water Stop

Cochineal

This is the crown jewel of the town's dining scene. It’s an intimate, "casual refined" bistro led by Executive Chef Alexandra Gates, a multi-time James Beard Award semifinalist (including 2024 and 2025).Seasonal, garden-driven tasting menus and cocktails; Marfa’s long-running “big night out.” If you´ve a special occasion while in town, this is the place. Make a reservation in advance. Despite all of this, Cochineal is not obnoxious. One of the best places in town to eat under the stars. It’s atmospheric with fairy lights and fire pits.
